PLG-20 Laboratory Hydraulic Press
Designation and purpose
The press is designed to create a force (load) up to 20 tons. It is used for the manufacture of samples of various materials during physicochemical studies. In particular, it is used to prepare samples for X-ray spectral fluorescence analysis (XRF) or FTIR spectroscopy.
It is designed specifically to equip production analytical and research laboratories.
It can be supplied in set with die sets of the required diameter, or rectangular section. For the most part of materials, 20 tons force is enough to press the sample whose area does not exceed 12–14 cm2.
The press PLG-20 normally is available in two versions:
- with protective housing and rotating screen, it is recommended when using non-standard die sets or pressing objects with a geometry that does not match the grooves on the press table.
- without protective housing and rotary screen when using die sets produced by LabTools LLC.
Advantages
- Reliable and easy to operate.
- Maximum force 20 tons (200 kN) with table dimensions.
- The gauge scale is graded in tons.
- Can be supplied with or without a protective housing or screen, depending on the task.
- Safety valve rules out the possibility of exceeding the maximum allowable pressure.
- Grooves on the press table position the die sets along the axis of the load application.
- Automatic piston returning to its original position after force removing.
- Die sets are made of special tool steel tempered to 60 HRC and do not add its material during pressing, ensuring the reliability of the analysis results.
